CRAWFORD RESIDENCE
This contemporary (2,200 s.f.) residence involves a post-and-pier construction that sits on a hillside overlooking a lightly treed canyon.
The objective for the project was to evoke the natural environment, capturing sweeping views from every room. The construction method specifies a number of sustainable or “green” building features, including fiber cement exterior siding, 30% greater insulation value, generous glass areas to provide natural lighting and ventilation, and large overhangs for weather protection. The sustainable interior finishes include reclaimed wood ceilings, Vinyl plank floors, low-VOC paints, and natural wool carpet.
We believe this project is successful in its peaceful integration with the surrounding landscape while offering an innovative solution in form of an open concept design.
